Loan Specialist

What will a typical day be like for me?

• Making outbound calls to customers who submit loan applications through our online portal, guiding them through the application process
• Verifying application details, reviewing credit, and making sound loan underwriting decisions to offer the best options to our customers
• Responding to customer questions regarding the loans we offer (collateral, approval qualifications, renewal policies, etc.)
• Accurately documenting application notes and outcomes in our loan origination system to maintain a clear record for the branch and the customer
• Partnering with our branches when necessary to deliver first-in-class customer service

What will make me successful in this role?

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, phone-based environment with a high volume of outbound calls
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and ability to learn internal systems
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate unique customer situations and find the right solution
• A competitive drive and motivation to hit monthly performance and bonus incentives

What will make me stand out?

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience within the loan industry or business knowledge

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to constantly remain in a stationary position.
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
• Occasionally may require light lifting up to 25 pounds
